Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 9, 2026

FlipTurn is a race-timing and meet-import tool for swim coaches. This policy explains what data the app stores, why, and what your choices are. It is written to be read, not to be clever.

What we collect

Meet-result files you import (Hy-Tek, Lenex, SDIF, PDF, and similar) are read on your own device. Only the swim results the app extracts from them are saved; the original files are not uploaded.

How we use it

Data is used only to provide the app: to sign you in, to show a coach their team's times, records, and pace analysis, and to let athletes and parents view their own results. That's the whole list.

Where it's stored

Account and team data is stored in a hosted Supabase (PostgreSQL) database and is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted by row-level security rules so a coach only sees their own team, and an athlete or parent only sees the athlete they are linked to.

What we don't do

Children's data

Swim teams include minors. Any information about a young swimmer (their name, and optionally age or times) is entered by their coach, who is responsible for having the right to record it. The app is not directed to children; athlete and parent accounts are intended for users 13 and older. If you are a parent or coach and want a swimmer's data removed, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

Delete your FlipTurn account

FlipTurn does not yet have an automatic in-app delete-account button. To request deletion:

What gets deleted depends on your role:

We keep no more of your data than we need to find and act on a deletion request, and delete it once the request is handled.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the "last updated" date above will change and, for anything significant, the app will say so.
